Unfortunately I think you need to get the dealer to do something to the ECU and even then you get 98 or so BHP compared to the 123 from the Z900.
Z1000.  I had a 900 so you'll never get rid of me. NEVER!

I unfortunately fell fowl to buying an A2 z900 from a private sale 😢 so Im currently stuck with the restricted version!! ☹️

However silver lining.... Ive had it de restricted via the ECU at Kawasaki (cost 35)
Ive just had de-cat done, (60 for Linc pipe)
Pulled  the baffle out and bought a plug (incase your unsure to get the baffle out you need to drill a small hole through the exhaust and unscrew bolt that holds baffle in)
Ive just had the z900 original exhaust (100 second hand) modded to fit the z900A2 holes (using cancer milling from 35mm to 41mm)  , so no boring the heads needed so 6 months on and Ive nearly finished, just put a K&N air filter in and now waiting for the bike to go on the rolling road at 2w ✌🏼

Tighten it 'til it strips then back it off half a turn.
