Ok the seat cowl turned up today. Firstly let me say the quality and fit is amazing, the gaps all around are perfect and it clamps down tight and does not move or rattle. I hate stuff that does not fit properly, but this is faultless in that area.
The colour is a few shades lighter, and in the sun even less so, but I think I can live with it.
The bracket underneath is plastic and well made and secured with well secured rubbers, none of it needs any mods to fit properly, it just fits.
For the price its amazing.
I got this one https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ABS-plastic-Rear-Seat-Fairing-Cover-Cowl-Fits-For-Kawasaki-Z900-Z-ABS-17-Gray-AU/292685308944?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649

I got mine yesterday and am not so convinced. It's green and like yours is a couple of shades darker? It also only clips into place if you really push hard.. I think I'll send mine back.. A pity because it does represent excellent value. Somehow just doesn't look right....might be a 'green' thing!!

Yeah Ok. Mine is a few shades lighter but I quite like the two tone look now as it matches all the two tone colours of fuel tank side covers if you get me.
Yes you have to push hard to close the cover but that is the design of it, the bracket underneath the cover with the rubber grommets is like a spring, and you are compressing the spring when you close it, which stops any rattling of the cover, I think it would get easier to close over time as grommets compress a bit.
In your photo of the back being out of align, you can actually move the back left or right to get it aligned, it will slide on the grommets but does not move when you get it right.
For the money I am still impressed.

Instead of return it you should have a look for somewhere to take it for a respray. wouldn't cost much.

Fitted my chinapovic and have to say the fit was bang on I only had to move the can hanger back 15mm. Deffo some what louder but not in yer face and that is with no db killer. Poss look into lowering that start up rpm other than that for the money well happy.

Did a soundbite  but on the phone it is poor.

Just remind me, did the end can come with the exhaust? Ie. a Akra copy?
And when u manage, a video of the sound would be great!

Simon the can is the kwak supplied performance can . If you fit an aftermarket can there is an extra piece you get with the exhaust to use.
