Thanks! I have put many miles on my Z and always have the panniers on. I never noticed any heat problems from the exhaust and I put camera gear along with drinks etc. in them. Appreciate the nice comments!

Replaced brake fluid with Motul 5.1. Used almost 0.5L, 3/4 of that for front brakes. Old school, pumping lever and releasing valve, no air is introduced to the sistem and levers are hard to squeeze as before, maybe even harder.
Hope 0.5L is  enough (ABS model).

500ml is just about enough for a full flush of front and rear (w/ABS). Takes a while to cycle through all old fluid on front (because of ABS) but keep doing it. When you think you are done, do it again. The last time I did mine day before mountain ride, I was shocked how firm my brakes were. I must have had some air in it without knowing it.

I use a combination of suction pump (at nipple) and manual lever pumping.

Don't forget to use all the fluid and NEVER keep spare fluid if container open (I'm speaking to all, not just you).

We pay $8.12/gal... Sad, really sad.

@3alfa3: pay attention, the Evotech radiator guard can rise your water temp when going slow (not as much as with the R&G "airbrake"), avoid traffic! (when installed on my ex 636 it was a constant 208F at 43mph with 32F OAT)

@Ridern82: your chain seem to have too much slack.

Motorcyclist - noun (moh-ter-sahy-klist)
: a person willing to take a container full of flammable liquid, place it on top of a hot, moving engine and then put the whole lot between their legs!

Did 200km today. Up to 70 km/h, temp is no more than 5C higher, 100km/h and faster same as before.
Outside temp 25C, 50-70 km/h water temp was 75-80C (3000-4000rpm), 100-130 km/h, water temp was 68-70C.

Header pipes cleaned up.

I like the amber color better than the "new look"... but if left unpolished for too long, looks cruddy and takes longer to clean up.
