Finally got the dunflops of the z. They only lasted me 4,000kms and got pinned for unroadworthy rear last week (dunno how you grannys got 12,000 hahaha). Ended up getting a set of bridgestone battleaxe s22r's. All i can say is wow... those dunlops numb the feeling of the bike so much... the turn in response is night and day. The mid corner stability is on another planet.

My thoughts exactly.  4000kms is a bit on the girlie side though 😁.  I had S21s on the 900 and couldn't feckin believe it when I saw 214s on the 1000.  They are a feckin crime.

Hahaha. I know right. The only thing the d214s was good for was a second gear burn out.

I got 5,240 miles out of my stock tyres. Front was still ok but the rear was horribly squared off, though it wasnt a major issue due to where I lived at the time meant that my whole commute was motorway and dual carriageway. If my route to work was more twisty then, like it is from where I live now, Id have replaced them a lot sooner.
